About Us

In the late 1950's, Sam Fratantion started a family owned business known as Atlas Wrecking Company. During the 1980's he passed the company on to his oldest son, Nicholas, and the name was changed to N. F. Demolition, Inc. Nicholas Fratantion is currently the company president of one of the fastest growing demolition companies in the midwest.
Backed by a staff of skilled experts in the field of demolition. the business has experienced steady growth over the last few years by consistently providing clients with resourceful and comprehensive solutions to their site reclaimation needs.
Even when first starting out in the demolition business the company took on all types of jobs. Nick's father and grandfather demolished 21 massive buildings of reinforced concrete in the early 1960's at the Chicago Stock Yards/Wilson Packaging Company.
The strong tradition of hard work and exceptional service continues today!
Like his forefathers, Nick's son, a fourth generation demolition expert, is part of the company. Recently, N. F. Demolition, Inc., completed the demolition of the Hammond Warehouse Company project, involving three seven-story reinforced concrete buildings and numerous other structures in the Chicago Stockyards for the City of Chicago. It was in the same area that Sam Fratantion and his father worked some 35 years ago.
We also worked for Acme Steel Corporation on a job which entailed carefully removing the top four floors of a five-story building and leaving the first floor intact.
Over the years N. F. Demolition, Inc. has been the contractor on such demolition projects as:
- The buildings at 43rd and Drexel for the City of Chicago
- The Biltmore Country Club in Barrington for the Quinn Corporation
- Town and Country Bowl and 32 residential homes in Northlake for Sam's Club and Walmart
